Team Baby Seal, No More

Team Baby SealSaturday I played in a 40k Rogue Trader Tournament. I won two games, out of three, with my Eldar. I fear that this is against the Team Baby Seal charter. Thus, effective immediately, I resign from TBS (at least until the next RTT).

 

My list was a fairly basic Eldar list:

  • Eldrad
  • Fire Dragons (5 + Exarch with Fire Pike, Tank Hunters and Crack Shot)
  • Howling Banshees (7 + Exarch with Executioner and Acrobatics)
  • Dire Avengers (5+ Exarch with Power Weapon, Shimmer Shield, Defend, and Bladestorm)
  • Dire Avengers (9+ Exarch with Power Weapon, Shimmer Shield, Defend, and Bladestorm)
  • Pathfinders (5)
  • Falcon (Pulse Laser, Eldar Missile Launcher, Twin-Linked Shuriken Catapults, Holo-Field, Spirit Stones, and Star Engines)
  • Falcon (Pulse Laser, Eldar Missile Launcher, Twin-Linked Shuriken Catapults, Holo-Field, Spirit Stones, and Star Engines
  • War Walker Squad (3 with Bright Lance, Scatter Laser, and Spirit Stones)
  • Wave Serpent (Twin-linked Eldar Missile Launchers, Twin-linked Shuriken Catapults, Spirit Stones, Star Engines)

Necron Command Barge / Annililation Barge

Here is the Catacomb Command Barge / Anniliation Barge for my Necron army.

I decided not to put on the arms and legs of the pilots, as they are unnecessary. Also the back cowling was removed (as the gun did not fit with it on). I do have the railing  for the Overlord on the Command Barge, but forgot to put it on for the photo.

Forge World units in Regular 40k

Forge World NoticeForgeworld put out the new Imperial Armor Apocalypse (2nd Edition) book last month.  Tell me what you think of these units:

Now I’m going to have way more to say on this in a few days, as I’m poring over the book now, but lets start off with something easy.  Take a look at these units and tell me if you think any of them are totally unbalancing, or would break the game in standard (non apocolypse) play:

Now you have to have the Forgeworld book to dig deep into these, but think about those entries from a couple of viewpoints and discuss:

1) Are any of these totally broken and would unbalance the game? Remember to take the FOC and point costs into account.

2) See any interesting trends on who gets things and who doesn’t?

With Boltguns Battles coming on 2011.09.24, I decided to make a display board for my Eldar.I was in luck, because I had based my Eldar and Necron the same, so the board will be able to be used for both.

I started with a cheap cork-board that I purchased on sale during a back-to-school sale. I then used wood glue, because it is stronger than white glue, to glue down the sand and flock.

New Tau Camo

Greetings!

I have collected Tau since they first came out, over 10 years ago. I am thinking that I want to change the camouflage. Here is the original (urban) camo:
